Playing with space, I see.
I recommend that instead of using colors seemingly randomly like you are currently doing, that you try to create a gradient effect, something from blue -> purple -> pink usually works well.
Also try playing with candle glows and particle effects, a lot of them have interesting colors, and produce light too.
overall though, neat builds. I love the crystal on the first small sky island.
