I dont play favourites; there are many games very dear to me, but if you want five, here are five that have impacted my life significantly.

1. Doom. A game that is 21 years old in December, thats still providing endless content and never once gets stale.
2. Sims 3. Infinite possibilities for storytelling, you make the game what you want it to be. I dont think any sims game can surpass it, unless its remade to be less buggy.
3. Terraria. Need I say more, on TCF of all places?
4. Dungeon Keeper. The starting point on my journey of modding and debugging PC games and learning how video games work under the hood. Also a DAMN good game thats just as timeless as Doom.
5. Star Ocean 3. The big RPG that opened my eyes to a much wider world of RPGs outside the starter-tier Final Fantasy. Also a game I could paly again and again...till the end of time

Honourable mentions to Diablo, C&C Red Alert and C&C3+Kanes Wrath
 
1- Terraria because best sandbox ever
2- The Binding of Isaac because best roguelike ever
3- Cave Story because plot
4- Shovel Knight because level design
5- Sonic the Hedgehog Franchise because my childhood

But I also love:
Team Fortress 2 (favorite first-person shooter), Don't Starve (favorite pointing and survival), Mario fangames (interesting), Megaman Franchise (favorite sidescroll shooter), Pokémon Franchise (favorite RPG), Final Fantasy IV, V an VI (another great RPG), Assassin's Creed Franchise (interesting set of abilities and good plot), King of Fighters Franchise (favorite fighting game) etc.

I mean, I know it's a Terraria forum.
But it's not the best game ever over every single other game.

It genuinely is my favourite game. It's like the game I was looking for all my life. Romantic yes. And yeah, this is a Terraria forum.

I wish the HD Ratchet Deadlocked wasn't a buggy mess. I had to get a refund because the sound was so bad(loud screeching on everything but the tutorial).

4: Professor Layton (The whole Series - I like solving riddles >.>)
3: Terraria
2: Super Smash Bros (Every game, but favoring Sm4sh)
1: KINGDOM HEARTS! (Whole series - Yes, even Chain of Memories >.>)
