i see only camprire (normal type) turn off
and nothing happen with torch
in image:
- JUNGLE TREE:1 torch (normal type)
- PLATFORM: 1 torch (normal type) + 1 white torch + 1 campfire

They turn off randomly over time, it isn't instantaneous. It might just be that it hasn't been long enough.

long time to turn off all.
today i play more 3 hours and see all turn off after 2 rain

I found that the tall lamp posts stay lit in any weather or biome. A bit taller than Tiki torches, but worth it in my opinion. I also haven't seen anything else stay lit.
3 Iron/Lead ingots, 2 glass blocks, 1 standard torch and crafted at any anvil. I probably have about 40 on my map now.
