NPCs & Enemies Torch God Effigy

This idea contributes in 3 ways:
Allows the Torch God to be refought. (Important for the new Music Box, or just having fun in general.)
Allows new games to be made using Torch God's Projectiles.
Adds new decoration.

The "Suspicious Looking Effigy", tooltip: "This would anger any god.", an item made with 6 regular Torches, 4 Vile/Vicious Powder, and 8 Hay, at a Demon/Crimson Altar.
It's placeable, 2x3, resembling a burning effigy made of hay. It can be toggled on and off with wiring, or a right click.

The function, when lit, is it essentially starts the Torch God event with nearby torches, if there's a valid number of torches nearby and you're underground.
When Torch God's wrath has been survived, the effigy turns itself off, and can be turned back on to restart the event again.
Effectively, when nearby, this disables the effect Torch God's Favor has to disable the Torch God.

The main use for this, which I'm sure many map makers would find fun, is new games where you dodge Torch God's projectiles in a custom arena. Having the ability to turn the system back on whenever you want via wiring (Also allowing for an even longer, loopable Torch God "fight" using timer loops.) or a right click. Imagine an adventure map where you have to get through an area while dodging Torch God projectiles, or survive a certain amount of time for a reward in the map. And that's just scratching the surface.

Hope this is a worthy idea for the Torch God itself!

Thank you. I think this complements my suggestion well: NPCs & Enemies - Torch God Rematch

Of the few Torch God rematch style posts I’ve seen, this is one I actually agree with. There is a valid reason for wanting it, a good way to implement it, and it’s simple. Full approval.

Yeah. Until we learned that the Torch God was going to be getting its own music track, there wasn't really any good reason to want a Torch God re-fight, but now it would definitely be nice to not have to make a new world if you missed the music box. I like this idea.

You don’t need a new world. Just a new character.

There's still a reason, actually.
Using the projectiles for custom games or arenas or "fights" in maps. A good alternative for just basic traps.

I wouldn’t see this as a simple alternative to traps, but a cool thing to make new challenges.
If this was added, I would use it.

That's... what I meant, using Torch God projectiles for challenges instead of say, just dart traps or flamethrowers.

I actually just really liked the challenge; I thought it was fun. I think that's reason enough to add something like this.

This is a definitely a lot better than the suggestion I made
