Mac Torches can't be placed on platforms!?

So i had a problem lately on 1.2.4.1 (Using Wine on my Mac), Where i can't place torches on platforms. Is that a thing of Terraria 1.2.4.1 or am i doing something wrong. Please Help!

Placing torches on platforms was part of the 1.3 changelog.
