I've played in my world for long time, and I destroyed my overcrowded town and made multiple small towns, traveling Merchant just stopped coming. I need his building accessories.

I despise RNG. It's technically pretty much impossible to know if you have a bug preventing the spawn or are astronomically unlucky (which you likely are). The more the probability of something fails the more likely it should become after that honestly.

There is a bug with the traveling merchant that permanently prevents him from spawning until you kill any of your npcs, actually. It'll be fixed in 1.4.5 as the devs already know about it, but killing a useless npc you don't care about every morning may help.

It happens at random, but is most common at the very beginning of hardmode.
