Yor said there would be an update soon to fix this on tAPI's side of things. His post is in the main tAPI thread.
He did, but that doesn't mean it will change anything. The mod would have to use the string overload version instead of int one to begin with.
You should still take such stuff into consideration when modding.
 
Ever since I updated this mod, ALL of my weapons (Not just from this mod) do 0 damage. Most of them don't even hit enemies. There isn't a crash, so no log, but is there any way to fix this? It's kinda hard to play dealing 0 damage.

EDIT: NVM it fixed itself. Still no idea what was wrong.

Hmm. I thought he said the server would now ignore the gore code even if modders didn't fix their code.

I agree with doing things correctly though... I'm not currently a mod author, so I was just looking for info to get some mods working in multi-player (or figure out why they were crashing the server). I'll do a bunch of global search and replaces to add the server check to people's mods in the meantime so I can play with my son :)

I'll probably have my own mod out eventually, just have so much other stuff on my plate atm. I'd need a spriter too, so...

I had this issue with tAPI v13a and a collection of mods including Shokah's mods. The weapons revert to non-damaging fake-weapons. They work as materials and can be swung, but they don't hit anything and apply knockback or damage. It can be fixed by either save&quitting, then reloading mods in the mod menu, or by restarting Terraria.

does the soul Gem bar belong in your mod? im playing alot of mods and dont know how to craft it

This is kind of a murky one...it's obviously based on my sprite, but it's been edited quite a bit, so i'll let it go. I think you need to talk to or find a more reliable spriter, though, or one that at least tells you where he/she got thier sprites from so you can properly credit people. I don't mind them being used (or edited) so long as credit is given.

If their edited enough its not your sprite anymore meaning you no longer deserve credit. Not saying its changed enough because its an obvious recolor of your sprite. Its just the way you worded your statement is wrong.

Your first statement is the problem though; they still used the original without asking. Yes they edited it, but they need to ASK to do that, because before they do anything it's still my sprite. Not to mention giving credit is kind of common courtesy when people don't outright require it. In this case, it's not the mod creator's fault, but his spriter, which is why I said in my previous post he should look into another spriter or convince his current one to ask to use sprites he edits.

If the spriter had asked there would be no problems; I would have said yes and he could do w/e he wanted. I'm just annoyed that he did not.
 
heres a thought, the greater restoration potion should only heal 150 life and 200 mana, since it uses a greater healing potion and a greater mana potion to make it and the greater healing potion only restores 150 life.
 
I am working on a new ore! Argite Ore - Generates when creating new world. It occurs frequently in large quantities.

I've experienced this as well. The zombies also bash down doors despite it not being a bloodmoon. It's kind of a problem.

Other mods are having this problem too (Thorium especially). Some kind of workaround is in the works I think.
