about that skeleton did you ever figure out what mod that's from? I want to see if theres a fixed version of it available....A bug with the TopHat Skeleton .When i tried to open the shop menu, the game just crashed. A quick bugfix would be nice

I get to wait 10 minutes instead of 5? golly gee whilikers this mod is totally da bomb"I signed up to ask this of the Mod makers here; If you do "add back" the starting tools and vanilla textures, can we make it a Mod Option, like the Hunger thing was? I actually enjoyed my rush to the Jungle to get the Spores, Stingers, and Vines to get started without any tools. I feel that 2 more Mod Options wouldn't hurt, one for Vanilla Textures and one for Starting tools. a Bit more work on your part, perhaps, but it appeases both those of us that like starting with the bare minimum, and those others that want to start a bit closer to Vanilla.

But terraria is not minecraft. Minecraft is a boring game and only mods can keep the game somewhat interesting to play.you DO realize you can make a Pick out of Stone, and it's very possible to find chests on the surface containing plenty of bars to make a pick that's of some metal. It's not the "Waiting" I enjoy about it, It's the percieved notion of nothing. If I could get away with it, I'd throw away all of the starting tools in Terraria, and play it like Minecraft.
There's also Miner Potions, potential loot from both surface-level chests and pots, that mine faster. For those of us that like the less-tool start, we can turn off the option to start with Vanilla tools. For those of you that want all the starting tools, that's available as well. It's merely a request to the Mod Author to not completely change something that I personally find fun. If you find it wrong that I'm being selfish and asking for this to be an option, that's fine, but in this particular case, I'll be as selfish a spider as I want.![]()

Adding hunger to the game was already a useless thing to do. Most of the time we explore, fight, build and mine. Hunger just forces us to stop doing those activities and go do the boring food hunt. Not to say that keeping food takes the precious inventory slots. Okay, it was added as a optional thing, but still is annoying. Because all those food drops fill up your inventory and you can't do anything useful with it.
Same stuff with pickaxes. Maybe I want to do a speed run or just create a new world and play for my enjoyment. Instead I have to go and make a new pickaxe. It's just an annoying factor that might be fun for newcomers, but not for "veterans" of Terraria. Just add it as a optional thing and give those pickaxes more uses if you are going for that minecraft feel. Those wooden pickaxes are the same as a copper pick but only much slower. Let those wooden pickaxes mine only dirt and stone and increase the number of blocks you can mine as you upgrade your pickaxe.
Also, I use that cooper Shortsword as a weapon, so getting that thing back would be nice. Not going to talk about the textures, because this post is already big
Maybe you enjoy making everything from scratch, but i have my own ways of playing the game. Everyone just progresses through the game differently.If you are speed running, you'd likely focus almost 100% on looting chests as early and fast as possible, and likely blast-mine your ore with pilfered bombs (VERY easy to get hold of via pots and boxes near the surface). And some of us "Veterans" may actually enjoy having to make everything from scratch.
I play with the copper pickaxe until a get a Nightmare Pick and rarely make any of the pickaxes between those two. Personaly, I see no reason to make a wooden pickaxe just to throw it away after you get a stone/cactus one and so on...Its just straight up minecraft progressionI did specifically mention putting both the less-tool start AND the Texture changes as two different Mod Options, alongside hunger, than cna be changed should you so desire. When it comes to "More uses", what uses would a pick have besides digging a hole, or mining an ore, really? Logically, you can only do so much with a Pick before it's really not able to do much else
I have played the game for a long time and made a lot of terraria sprites. Those vanilla textures just feel natural as they are, not like the ones added by the mod creator. They look not so pleasant to they eye as the original textures. Its just my own taste and it will stay that wayI have a question for you; Why not go into the Textures? I'm genuinely curious what you have to say about those. Post length need not be a factor, what's the problem with the sprites? I don't see many changes, if any, and the one I've noticed I kind of like. At the end of the day, this is a mod, and the mod maker does reserve the right to do as he sees fit.
Its nice to have that sword with you, even if you will change it as soon as you start the game. Also, another mod has a recipe that uses the copper shortsword, so its not that pointless for me.Just to throw this out there as well: Wooden Broadsword > Copper Shortsword. Although the damage is the same, one has much better knockback and a swinging arc, making it a valid weapon to use until you're able to get yourself a Water Bolt.
This mod never gives me the powerful feel, because its not very well balanced. Instead of adding tons of new content that i will probably never see, they should work on balancing stuff and making every added item unique and worth using atleast once. Same for bosses that have no special moves and just use Ai's from vanilla bosses. Please, work harder on this mod.Perhaps his design was to start the players off slightly less powerful, and give them the opportunity to build up and feel more powerful. It's why I like Terraria in the first place: the more I do and the further I go, the more powerful I feel, until It's just the Duke and I, meeting on equal footing.

This is why i hate this mod. Every update brings new annoying problems that kill all the fun for me.
Dude, i dont need none of your advice, ok ? I play the game how I want and i need no help from other people. I know how to play the game, how to dodge, fight, progress, brew potions, shoot, mine etc. Why is everyone trying to give useless advice ? I hate this so muchJust saying "Mod needs balancing" doesn't help, as, to me, this mod is easy, but for you, it seems difficult. You mention "Probably never see". It's not such a hard mod, just focus on using the Terrain to your advantage, and try to rush an Ivy Whip, even going so far as to neglect armor until you HAVE the Whip. Don't focus on armor or weapons in combat, focus on Mobility. jumping, moving around, setting up platforms and blocks in the air, and just move around, make yourself a harder target to hit.
Balance is subjective. How do you feel this mod needs balance?
Is it really the pair of very bad Starting tools that you don't start with, one of which can be replaced in less than 30 seconds and a couple of trees?
Is it enemies having too much health or armor (Not something I've personally experienced in this mod)?
Is it Ore Spawn-Rates being messed up? (Again, not something I've experienced in this mod)
Balance changes based on the person. Considering how long I've been playing this mod, and watching it go as far as it has via updates, It's all been improved. You want unbalanced, go try Pumpkin or Frost moon without traps and autogrinders. It's not possible to hit wave 10 in either without some form of anotomy taking a number of them out. If Re-Logic can put an unbalanced mess into the game, surely one or two tough enemies don't matter much.

YES, I HATE EVERY ENEMY THIS MOD ADDS. You kill the golem , freaking abysal bats, slimes and otherstarts spawning. 83 defence is totaly not enought for me to whistand their punishment. And almost all that crap can go trough walls.
Or take the freaking quest you get at the start of the game. So much effort was put into it and in the end i got an item that changesING TIME. GOD, EVERY 3 MOD ADDS THIS USELESS ITEM. Not gona talk about those worthless ruins where chests spawn at a rate of 1/6 and usually contain useless crap.
This mod ising annoying and all those bugs that it brings.
that Magicite Keeper that spawned every 5 minutes inside walls, that gave him full invinsibility against damage and in the end he polluted my world with useless Magicite ore. Give atleast a set bouns to that armor !
Every enemy has like 200, 500 hp. Developers, ya dont know other numbers ? Or them dealing almost 100 damage while i wear endgame armor ?, even their spawn rate is so messed up, that i only see mobs from this mod.
Mod is crap and adds the same useless stuff. I hate everything about it and people who try to defend this pile of junk.

Great, now I am a troll. If you love this mod so much, then keep your opinion to yourself. If I still use this mod, that means I still need it and you are not the one to say what to do with it.SO you're just a pattern troll then, it seems, and I've wasted my time. If you hate everything about this mod, simply uninstall it, and don't bother with it. None of what you said in this post is constructive, save perhaps enemies modified spawn rates. It would be interesting to lock off some of the spawn rates until aftter Eye of Cthulu, though even initially starting out the Golems and Oozes aren't much of a threat, save that Gold Ooze.
If I may make a recommendation: Try Thorium+ alongside this one. Both mods together play rather nicely, and the equipment all compliments each-other rather well. If you can consider the others as well: GBase, GRealms, and Necropolis, though Necropolis has not any hardmode additions as of yet.
