Heya, Here from trying out the Martian communicator

For some reason, From using it twice, It only gave the message "Martian Probe has awoken!", Didn't see any martian probes appear, Either time
First time was in the middle third, Second time was in the outer thirds

So, Just asking if they could have despawned soon after spawning or if the probes perhaps just, Didn't spawn at all... I suggest you check it out either way

Either way, This mod seems like it could be interesting to do with a fresh character

It spawns in random location near player. We have already fixed this.

Something has awoken!

Bringing this spoiler back, To me it looks like a prehardmode boss, has probe minions, looks like skeletron, and shoots lasers in all four cardinal directions.

There's currently no mod that uses tModLoader and can assure a no-crash playthrough when playing multiplayer.
So no, this mod (and all other tMods) are not multiplayer compatible.

Even though that's true, this mod is still great in Singleplayer, just because it adds so many more hours of fun to the game. One of the best (currently) 'round for 1.3 if you were to ask me.

i have a few questions about this mod, since it would be the very first time i mod Terraria. not that it frightens me, nothign frightens me after learning to mod Skyrim properly, among many other games like UT2004, flight simulator X and worse.

1 - does it need any special tool to be installed, ran, or decompiled for use? or can i simply lob the files in their place and get playing?
2 - is this up-to-date with 1.3.0.8?
3 - i play online a lot. does that mean when i want to return i must uninstall it altogether, or is the mod in some way toggle-able?
4 - i used GameIki in the past, before it went obsolete for 1.3 - i plan to use it again once a patch is released; would it conflict with this?

thank you.

These are kinda 'global' questions regarding installing mods, so I'll take the liberty of answering them.

1 - This will of course need tModLoader to be installed. If you already have that, then you're good to go. Otherwise, you'll need to follow the instructions in the readme file once you download tModLoader.
2 - Yes, it states so in the OP (and tModLoader is already *.0.8 compatible, so a lot of mods that use it are too).
3 - Well, you'll not want to use tModLoader when you're playing online (yet). Even when you don't have mods installed. You can (when you go to your Terraria Steam folder) just switch the .exe files around and you'll be able to play the vanilla version of Terraria once again. No uninstalling needed.
4 - Hmm, I'm not sure if they're even making a patch since they state it was discontinued. However, if they do make one and it uses tModLoader as an extension (instead of PRISM or being a standalone) it should be compatible.

I hope I answered your questions thoroughly enough. Good luck and have fun modding the game.

So, let me see if i understood clearly...

1 - gonna get that.
2 - good to know.
3 - basically, you are telling me i can simply keep the original .exe in a seperate folder, keep the Tremor .exe in another, and simply switch them when needed, like i used to do with Gameiki? if so, then it would be easy. i even made a shortcut for the Terraria folder.

last question: does it require a brand new playthrough?

3 - Uhm, sorry for being a bit vague on my end. Tremor uses a modding API called tModLoader, which is an extensions to make modding easier on the community. This means that you can view Tremor (and all mods made with tModLoader) as some sort 'plugin'. tModLoader has its own .exe, Tremor is only a package. But yeah, you can just change from the tModLoader exe file to the vanilla (by just changing the name of the .exe file to 'Terraria.exe').

And you can port your characters and worlds from the vanilla version, but the saves for both are seperately.

Tremor, as a tmod file, is located within your documents as follows --- My Games>Terraria>ModLoader>Mods just like that. From there tModLoader as an API will access it to modify the game when you launch it from tModLoader.exe . Keep your vanilla Terraria.exe seperate from tModloader.exe, but in order to launch tModLoader from steam, you'll need to rename it to Terraria.exe . Whew, you're good now, but be sure and name your original Terraria.exe file something you'll remember.

Is this mod in halt? (not getting updated)

It says the adamantite staff is crafted at a "Trap"

Woah, I put 137 (Trap) instead of 134 (Mythril Anvil). Thank you for finding a bug!

when will u update the mod ?

when will u update the mod ?
It will probably take a while, considering the amount of content this mod has.

EDIT: All the monsters that spawn in caves spawn in the underworld, and I'm pretty sure they are taking up spots for the regular underworld monsters to spawn.

Atis, Parasprite, bicholmere, cave golem etc are taking a lot of spawning spots as they spawn really (too?) frequently.

EDIT: Also, Ore staves seems to need to be crafted near a "trap" crafting station.

When I saw the Buckethead/Knight zombies, I instantly thought of PvZ... is this bad?

I love this mod
excited for the new update tho :redspin:
