I’d rather we mix up the theme of these if we’re going to make new items in the same vein as terra blade. Having combined items be just another “terra” or “night’s edge” style item takes away from what made terra blade and night’s edge special in the first place, and heavily limits the design and identity you can give it. It kinda already applies to Terraspark boots honestly.

Come up with a new theme yourself for combination items. Maybe make something like a Chaos-themed item that’s like an intersection of a bunch of elemental forces, for example. Hell, the devs combined four thematically unrelated swords into a Dark themed weapon when making Night’s Edge, so there’s already a precedent for not needing deep thematic relevance or super thought-out symbolism or anything like that.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t combine a ton of items into one super item, I’m saying those super items stand out because of their unique thematic identity and making them part of a set detracts from that.

what about sky+hell+ beach+ forest? (for night's armour of course) it's just so damn convenient that there's already accompanying armour for the night's edge swords. also, new name idea: earthen armour. (work in progress)

I was going to say just this.
There are quite a few "Zenith" mods, or "Terra" mods out there, and this idea honestly fits better into mods.

what you need to understand, is that i am HORRIBLE at ideas. COMPLETELY TERRABLe at them. i see something, and extrapoliate into them.

I personally don't really enjoy the fact that the "ultimate" item at the end of most progression stages is a melee item. It makes the game feel like all the beautiful diversity of magic, ranged and summon weapons/armors/accessories is a side quest to obtaining Night's Edge/Terra Blade/Zenith. In fact, it would be better not to add anything new to the game: just rework the Terrarian (final yoyo), SDMG (final machine gun) and Lunar Flare (final spellbook) to be the result of a crafting tree like the Zenith.
Btw that would also make the grind for the two swords to drop from Moon Lord less painful.
(I still think it would be better to have a fixed and repeating drop order depending on the world seed rather than random chance, but that's a conversation for another day)

you're right, but I just don't know how this focuses anything extra onto melee, arguably the best classes to use this are mage and summoner
