Truffle Worm Farm No Spawns?

I've been trying to recreate a truffle worm farm that i found here, but I haven't been getting many spawns. It seems as if the rest of it is working though. Here's what it looks like:


If anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong, that'd be great, thanks!

Since your map shows grass seeds nearby, I think your farm is too close to surface level.
Try the cavern layer. AFAIK they spawn way more often there.

I'm pretty sure truffle worms cannot spawn at all above the cavern layer.
