Pedguin claims even with the nerf it made the EoW too easy to beat even on expert, which I guess caused the devs to ragequit and just remove it completely.
 
Couldn't people just choose not to use them if they want a challenge?

Any other items removed besides molotovs and key molds?

to be honest, that's the same line of thought as "why do you need expert mode, you could just not use the best gear available if you want a challenge"

Not that I want them removed, I stand by the fact I think they should just add a soul of night to the recipe and call it a day.

Its better they remove it completely than leave a nerfed, junk item in the game. As for what pedguin says, I still, well, lets just say I disagree. But removing it is still the better option.

Now if they can only do something about that useless spear.

It would have been fun to have as a novelty item, though.
A weapon to just mock about.

I think they should have made the Molotovs Hardmode and bought from the Demolitionist (or any other fitting NPC), as well as SLIGHTLY nerfing the damage.

I want my glorious communist bottles of hellfire, goddamn it!
 
Y'know, guys, watching Ped stream, I'm still ready for Expert. But I've just had a rather disturbing thought.

Expert Paladins.

I don't suppose anyone has any idea about how many new banners will be added in the update?
I need to expand my building to be able to fit more of them inside. :)

Oh gawd, and the new armours... and new items which will need more chests...
 
Watched a couple of them streams yesterday. Haven't done that before. Pretty cool stuff. Though,
that metal detector seems OP as :red:. You don't even need to equip it in a slot.
