Unpopular oppinion. The blow pipe is underrated

I have almost never seen someone use the blow pipe as a weapon but it's actually pretty good.

While seeds aren't good with a single stinger you can craft 100 poison darts and with how 1.4.4 buffed poison such an easy way to get a good chunk of extra damadge from a distance is really good espeacally against bosses, and with the darts it even does good enough damadge to be good when first mining for gear.

One big factor in how good it is is how quickly does it get replaced. Where does the blowpipe fall in that category?

There isn't really another good way that I'm aware of to apply poison or another good debuff to bosses or enemies from a distance for the majority of prehardmode

Exactly, exploring the jungle early on is very practical and profitable, so most people do it, and when exploring the jungle you naturally het tones of stingers. and with each stinger making 100 darts just 10 stingers makes 1000 darts

I used blowpipe once... I found that the poison Debuff was OK... not worth using past EOC as a base weapon, proceeded to use for brain and Bee as a sidearm
