I think that they should make updates where exclusive bosses and items and weapon and amour should be added as a exclusive update for 3ds
 
There will be no further major updates for the 3DS version. It will not get 1.3 or later versions. The Hardware is not able to handle the changes that 1.3 brings to the game. It's a similar case for all previous generation Consoles. For bug fixes, I don't know about that. There's been no official word on whether the 3DS update will still receive bug fixes or not at this time.
 
Whenever I see the the door left open for minor things like bugfixes I keep hope that Boreal Wood will get squeezed in one day.
