Mobile Users with crash issue - please report

Reaching out to the community in hopes we can bring some much needed attention to the severity of this crashing issue. Many of us have not been able to play Terraria for over a month now.

This crashing bug brought in by the bug fix update (how ironic) is horrible. I can't get past the loading screen because it "failed to download URL" so the game is unplayable for me. I would uninstall and reinstall it, but I have no idea how to backup my saves, and no one can help me with backing up my saves.
I am using an HP Slate 7 running android version 4.1.1, and kernel version 3.0.8

I did, backed up my game, uninstalled Terraria, reinstalled, put my save in, game still doesn't damn work.

Starting to think these crashing issues will be present in every single future update, just like the missing sound effects, broken buttons, and bugged weapons.
