Kiroto

Terrarian
Heello everybody! Kiroto here with a suggestion!

I'ts all about Variation of basically every kind of variable thing in terraria.

Variation
We actually have two kind of ores, for the first four tiers of metal: Tin for Copper, Lead for Iron, Tungsten for Silver, and Platinum for Gold.
We also have variation for the three main hardmode ores: Palladium for Cobalt, Orichalcum for Mytril, and Titanium for Adamantite.
But what if we add some MORE variation! Here is the list of ores that could add more variation. Feel free to make a sprite.
This is still Work In Progreess, but feel free to post!

Temperature and Humidity!

The way it works is that each block now has one more parameter: Temperature. Which range from 230 (Two less than Tin's melting grade in Celsius) to -170.
Areas generated with temperatures lower than 45 will NOT Generate lava.
Areas generated with temperatures higher than 75 will NOT Generate grass nor will allow grass to grow on it.
Areas generated with temperatures higher than 100 will NOT Generate water NOR Dirt.
Areas generated with temperatures higher than 125 will generate Lava (It doesn't matter if on surface)
Areas generated with temperatures higher than 110 will change stone for Magma stone/Magma.
Areas generated with Temperatures lower than -25 will make the top layer of the water frozen water, which can be meltable.
Areas generated with temperatures lower than -60 will change the water into frozen water, which can be meltable.
Areas generated with temperatures lower than 10, or higher than 75, will not generate Honey.
Lava's temperature range from 75 to 230, depending on the temperature it will deal 50% more damage, or 50% less damage, normal damage being 155.

Water's temperature range from -24 to 99. When higher than 99, it starts boiling, slowly reducing the amount and dealing half of the lava's damage. When lower than -24, it becomes cold water, which deals half lava's damage. when lower than -59, it freezes.
Honey's temperature range from 10 to 75, being the most delicate liquid. When lower than 10, it becomes frozen honey, which can be meltable.. When higher than 75, it becomes crispy honey.
Stone-like Blocks with temperatures between 1 and 110 will remain as normal terraria blocks.
Stone-like Blocks with temperatures from 0 to -170 will gradually turn cyan, at -85, they become slippery blocks.
Stone-like Blocks with temperatures from 111 to 230 will gradually turn fire red, at 170, they become hot blocks.
Dirt-like Blocks with temperatures between 10 and 74 will remain as normal terraria blocks.
Dirt-like blocks with temperatures from 9 to -170 will gradually turn white, at -80, they gradually become sticky, -170 being like honey blocks.
Dirt-like blocks with temperatures higher than 110 will become ash.
When it's raining, surface blocks's temperature will decrease.
Biomes temperature range:
Pure, Hallow, Crimson and Corruption surface: 10 - 40
Pure, Hallow Deserts DAY: 30 - 109
Pure, Hallow Deserts NIGHT: 0 - -30
Crimson, Corruption Deserts DAY: 50 - 125
Crimson, Corruption Deserts NIGHT: -10 - -50
Snow: -30 - -70
Ice: -40 - -170
Ocean: 10 - 50
Jungle: 10 - 75
Mushroom: -10 - 90
Dungeon: -20 - 100
Lizhard Temple: 1 - 110
Space -50 - 30
Temperature Exange:
Blocks will spawn with a certain amount of temperature.
Blocks will get the average temperature of adjacent blocks, then comparing to the actual biome's temperature range. If it's on that range, the changes will be made.
(This is complicated, some helping posts could be great)

Temperature effects:
Between 20 and 74: Notheng
From 19 to -170: Gradually increases Ice-Related damage from 1% to 50%. Gradually reduces Fire-Related damage from -1% to -50%. Increases minion knockback from 1% to 10%
From 75 to 230: Gradually increases Fire-Related damage from 1% to 50%. Gradually reduces Ice and Water Related damage from -1% to -50%. Increases minion damage from 1% to 10%
From 30 to -59: Gradually increases Water-Related damage from 1% to 25%, lower than -59, gradually reduces Water-Related damage from -1% to -25%
Humidity effects:

Have a 50% chance of being the substitute of a Meteorite.
Asteroid Ore: Variant of the meteorite. Greenish color that glows, pretty much lie demonite ore. You can use Asteroid ore to craft:
Asteroid Bars: Which are the main material for:
Asteroid Armor Set: Same defense distribution, The full set will make the Asteroid Sword variants shoot a beam of light of their respective color, which deal a low amount of damage. The armor Glows, but does not emit light, pretty much like the Ice Wings.
Asteroid Sword(s): Deals a little bit more damage that the Meteorite Phaseblades. Do not Glow, though have color. It requires more Asteroid Bars and less Gems.
Asteroid Gun: Ranged weapon, uses bullets for ammo. Deals damage higher than The Undertaker, but lower than the musket, faster than The Undertaker.
Asteroid Bullet: Bouncy bullet, Bounces 4 times, and pierces 3, though deals lower damage than the meteorite bullets.
Asteroid Hamaxe: Higher hammer power than the meteorite hamaxe, but the attack speed is lowered.
Star Launcher: StarCannon Variant, Uses Stars as ammo. Stars shot from this Launcher Bounce and divide Once, Shooting two smaller stars in a 90-degree angle from the impact point. Here is my example: |<--- ( "|" Being the wall "<" being the star division and "---" Being the star trajectory) The stars deal less damage than the Star Cannon, and the Divided stars deal 33% of the damage of the initial one.

Space alloy: Made from 1 Asteroid bars and 1 Meteorite bars at a Hellforge.
Space Cannon: Uses Stars as ammo, The stars will home in Enemies, then divide in two smaller ones that home in other enemies. The initial Star will deal as much damage as the StarCannon Would, and the other stars will deal 33% of that damage.
Space Armor Set: More defense than the Meteorite armor, but less than the Molten Armor. Set bonus: StarCannon, StarLauncher and SpaceCannon has a 33% of consuming mana instead of stars.
Space Sword: As fast as a Phaseblade, As big as an Asteroid Sword, As awesome as it can be: The Space Sword, A variant of the Phaseblades that for default has the effect to shoot beams of light, as the Asteroid Armor Set's set bonus.

Space gun (The Original Space gun would be renamed as Lazer Gun): Uses more mana than the Lazer gun, Shoots yellow beams, deals more damage than the Lazer gun.

Add a volcanic biome that spawns at the contrary side of the snow biome. Instead of ice, it uses Volcanic Stone, instead of snow, it uses Ash. It's the only biome in which lava can be spawned at any layer. It has enemies as:
Overworld Volcanic:
Magma slime
Cavern and Caves:
Magma Slime
Spiked Magma Slime
Hot Skeleton
Ash Flinx
Baby Bone Serpent
Loot:
-From Magma Chest
Fire flower
Smoke in a Bottle
Magma Sword
Magma Bow
Magma Working Table
-From Hot Skeleton
Obsidian Skull

A complicated mechanic which would have invisible effects/ A lot of effort for not much reward. Pass.

Uh, asteroids aren't asteroids if they aren't orbiting the sun. :l (Anything from space that collides with earth is a meteorite, btw.) Aside from that, this isn't really needed. I'd rather put a focus on improving out existing Meteorites than adding a largely inconsequential alternate.
Add a volcanic biome that spawns at the contrary side of the snow biome. Instead of ice, it uses Volcanic Stone, instead of snow, it uses Ash. It's the only biome in which lava can be spawned at any layer. It has enemies as:

Could be cool, but this mostly sounds like a miniature Underworld.

If I were in charge of Re-Logic, I would implement a fully fleshed-out Desert biome as an alternate to Arctic biomes, so a world would either spawn with a large Arctic biome like we already have and small Deserts spread across the map, or a world would have a large Desert biome made of Sand and Sandstone with small snow-only Arctic biomes in place of small Deserts. Igloos would spawn as an alternate to Pyramids.
