[VERY VERY EARLY GAME] How to survive a Blood Moon (all required items are a bow, home and 3 wood)

So I got in a Blood Moon today. Seeing as I only had: Copper Longsword, Wood Bow, 1200 Fire Arrows (just collect wood and kill slime bois), wood armor and a silver helmet, I was really worried that my 1 NPC would die, so here is what I did:

1. Put all my money into a chest
2. Caged my NPC in a wooden box
3. Built a shelter area (picture below)
   
4. Shoot

Sure this isnt the most effective way, but its safe and you can get a little bit of loot
