Wait wait wait
It sets fire to the sun? That's a top notch solar system mass destruction weapon right here

Because the sun doesn't really burn, it just makes lots of nuclear fusions, which gives us all the heat and light we need to live; As the heat builds up, gas turns into plasma, which is what the sun is made of.
By doing nuclear fusions, a star can live up from 3 millions of years to 1000s of billions. Our sun has a lifetime of 10 billion years (G2 Spectral type, solar mass 1)
If it somehow managed to enter in combustion, It would completely burn in 100 years. So yeah, setting the sun on fire would take away 999999900 years of it's lifespan. That's pretty much 99.99999 of the sun's lifetime.

TL;DR: Set the sun on fire, and it'll die in 100 years.

But it's essentially a ball of fire. So setting fire to a ball of fire is pointless. Ignore the science for once.:p

Nope. It would need oxygen to maintain combustion. I'm no physicist, but I think it would require an unfathomable amount of oxygen to maintain 1.4 quintillion (that's a million million million) cubic kilometers of combustion for a period of 100 years. My conclusion is that if the sun were somehow able to enter combustion, it would stop combusting almost immediately.

Ignore the science for once.:p
Never.

Unless...unless Kevin Destructicon knew about all that, and that's why he wanted to set fire to the sun. And Doofinshmirtz is just an idiot! WHICH HE IS!!!
