.... that’s a summon weapon not a magic weapon, but that zapinator is so random, it could one short kill an enemy or stay there, for me magic is my favorite class, soo I like those stuffI feel like magic is by far the weakest class in pre-hardmode. I feel like the vampire frog is a close call

I also really like the StarfuryThere’s a lot which are really good.
-Combat Wrench was surprisingly compotent. It can hit a single enemy thrice, and has fast linear movement like the Paladin’s Hammer. With Feral Claws, its DPS is one of the highest of any prehardmode weapons, but it does basically require Feral Claws in order to work to begin with.
-Sunfury is good just by the basis of having so much base damage. Its DPS isn’t the highest thing ever, but it has enough base damage to 1 or 2 shot almost everything.
-Pheonix Blaster is nuts. Very high base damage and use time for a prehardmode weapon, and if it weren’t for the lack of autofire, it would easily be the best prehardmode weapon.
-Flamelash is a great weapon. Its mana cost is hard to mantain, but it’s fast, homes, pierces, has great damage and even has an AoE explosion. Also useful in early Hardmode because you can guide it around corners.
-Demon Scythe has one of the immediate largest prehardmode DPSes, only drawback is that it’s hard to aim. Which doesn’t stop it against the Wall of Flesh.
-Spinal Tap, largely due to its synergy with Obsidian Armor. Its built perfectly for the Wall battle and has damage output above many other options.
