PC What Is This?

Hello,

I was mining underground in my new world that I created for the 1.3 update, and I noticed something new. When you break a certain vase, a gold circle comes out and gives you a few gold coins. What is this? Thanks!

They seem to be Coin Portals according to the Wiki.

Surprised me the first time too. Pennies from heaven… times 10,000! Love 'em. I didn't notice that they came from pots though. When I hit them it's usually in near-total darkness, while whacking blindly at unseen (but real) enemies.

The first one I found was pretty early in my Expert mode world, I was weak I got killed and I couldn't retrieve the money
