what is your favorite difficulty?

Legendary mode is hell but satisfying when you beat a boss.

Master mode is hard but doable, and also satisfying when you beat a boss.

Expert mode is very rewarding, at the cost of a slight challenge. It can also be nice for trying new things, but not as nice as classic mode.

Classic mode is nice and relaxing, and the perfect opportunity to try new things.

Journey mode removes the grinding and lets you let loose and free and have fun.


So which is best?

All. Just all (in my opinion) . Each are good at their own thing, or does something slightly different than the last.

i like expert because i can skip like 70% of the prep i'd normally do for master or legendary

i don't have to build arenas to battle skeletron and wall of flesh, don't bother fishing for lifeforce potions, don't bother maxing my health out sometimes etc

very comfy
