Hot Topic What/who is your favorite NPC?

If I had to choose *a* favorite, it would be the Stylist or Dryad. That makes me think, though, does anyone else have a favorite/one that just makes them happy to be around?

Stylist seems like she would be a cool person to hang around. I like to HC she secretly has expertise in nails and makeup as well, and would probably give the player a manicure or something during downtime. Just a thought.

Dryad seems like she would enjoy sculpting (another HC of mine). I would think she does pottery with the player from time to time. Maybe they make flowery vases, I don’t know. Seems like a nice time.

Fisherman. Has to be. He's a jerk, but he has been incredibly useful in my playthroughs and is the reason I always start with fishing on my newer playthroughs.

I build a shrine dedicated entirely to the Guide during each one of my playthroughs.

Every other NPC is fodder.

I've blown up the Goblin Tinkerer the few times he's over-extorted, and the Angler can disappear into the sea & never come back.

its gotta be the witch doctor, the other jungle/life related NPC is the dryad who i kinda just cant stand? Witch doctor is not only the main npc to represent my favourite biome to live in but also just seems the most interesting of any npc. Also the line "[nurse name] can heal your body, but i can made you embody healing" is a really cool dialogue line. I love the witch doctor, best NPC even if their shop isn't always useful.

Painter, angler, mechanic and guide are pretty cool too.

For me my favorite NPC is the wizard because he is magic. Also the shimmered arms dealer looks menacing.

Honestly? The Guide.

He's extremely helpful, kinda humorous, and totally not a humanoid embodiment of the Wall of Flesh designed to keep tabs on you and limit the knowledge you gain until after you kill his true form.

I always thought the witch doctor was pretty cool, i like the idea of a Lihzahrd NPC, i thought it was a cool idea. And he sells some cool items.

The Zoologist. She's nice, likes animals, and sells some of my favorite items in the game; notably, the Guide to Critter Companionship!
