What's up with Terraria: The Animated Series?

Hello!
Recently I had a video about this series recommended to me and I've been kind of fascinated by it ever since.

I've been wondering if anyone here knows what the backstory behind this series is, and how much of a say Re-Logic had in it, if at all? I've tried looking it up and Google didn't really help. All I got from it was that the series was mostly animated by Element Animation (the same one behind An Egg's Guide to Minecraft and Villager News) and that Jazwares was involved in it. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information about it online, not even a page about it on the official wiki (the best I got was a page on an Element Animation Fandom wiki that looked pretty incomplete).

I'm just curious as to how this series came to be especially with the characters looking like this

Doesn’t Element animations animate the Minecraft trailers?
I’ve only seen parts of it and episode 1, but no I don’t think Relogic was involved with it, seems like a fan animation to me, if they where involved I’d at least assume a post promoting it or a page on the wiki would suffice. Maybe they got involved later on? It’s hard to tell.
It also seems episode 8 and 9 where animated by someone else, based on the disclaimers at the beginning

I remember watching it back like 5 or 6 years ago I think.
Back then I assumed it was simply a fan animation but I did learn recently that it wasn't completely that.
The vibe I get is that jazzware was behind it and used in to promote their figures and relogic wasn't super directly involved.
Could be wrong but that feels like what it was.

Oh boy, one of the few moments my long time memory can serve.

From what I recall, this was an animated series that was a part of Re-Logic and was made in tandem with some Terraria Merchandise, like figurines, based on the animated series. (Jazwares were the ones that made the merchandise)
The initial reception was, to put it subtly, not what we expected. Because Element Animations were a Minecraft animator, the Terraria animated series also gave more away of Minecraft than it was with Terraria. The content within the animation wasn't accurate with the game itself. But it was humorous to make fun out of them.
(even recently I compared the whiplash of Terraria with it's animated series with Minecraft and their upcoming "A Minecraft Movie")

I can't tell/remember what Re-Logic thought of it, and I also don't know how much they were involved with it.
But I can say that their series ended somewhere mid-way season 2, with their Corruptor thumbnail been the last.

One of the reasons why there isn't much found about this is because the moment they started and went trendy, it was mostly present on the old forums: Terraria Online (Which is a story on it's own). This website no longer exists, so your best bet to find info about this back is through the Wayback Machine.

EDIT: Despite of that, this was still the first time Terraria pushed towards merchandise and an ongoing series, where we did got excited for how it turns out, so I should give credit for that.

I completely forgot about Terraria Online, I'll try the Wayback Machine. Thanks for the answer
