When you think of a game... what music do you think of

I usually associate a specific ost track with their respective game to be the "main theme" of every game. Regardless of the game's "official main theme".

Terraria- Ocean Theme (Same as you. It is probably the trailers for 1.2 and 1.3 that have conditioned me to be the 1st music I associate with Terraria)
Minecraft - Calm 3 (This makes me feel nostalgic about the 1st Minecraft Palace I ever built which is the most fun I ever had with Minecraft)
Ys: The Oath in Felghana - Valenstein Castle
Ys: Origin - Menu Theme
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky - The Way they Walk in Liberl/ The Whereabouts of Light (Couldn't decide on 1 exactly)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Gerudo Desert
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - Clocktown (Dawn of the 1st Day)
Metroid (Both the Original NES Metroid and Zero Mission) - Brinstar
Metroid Prime - Menu Theme
Metroid Prime 2 - Ing Battle
Metroid Prime 3 - Bryyo
Rebuild 3 - Gefangen
Chantelise - Rage of the Wind God (Zephyran Ruins 1)
Civilization V - Sultan of the Hearts
Any Star Wars related Game - Star Wars Main Theme/Duel of the Fates/Imperial March
Any Pokemon Game - Pokemon Main Theme (Or Champion/Red Theme from Gold/Silver)
Older Mario Games (Before "New" Super Mario Bros) - Mario Main Theme
Newer Mario Games (After "New" Super Mario Bros) - New Super Mario Bros Theme
Tales of the Abyss - Belief
Radiant Historia - Alistel City Music
Shin Megami Tensei Series - Cathedral of Shadows Themes

Whenever I think of Doom, I think of the song that plays in E1M1. I have no idea what it's called but it is awesome!
I've never played any LoZ games, so I think only of the Lost Woods song. It's too catchy...

It really depends. In game music is something I either take or leave. I listen to a lot of music, so as an example, Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory was the "soundtrack" when I played Parasite Eve.

When it comes to VGM though, I associate one piece from a game with each title.

For instance, for Doom, it's the E1M1 music.
Final Fantasy VI is the boss fight theme, Decisive Battle.
Super Mario World is the main title music.
 
Bastion- Setting sail, coming home
Transistor- The Spine
KH1- Simple and clean
KH2- For some reason Tension rising
PvZ1- The roof theme
PvZ2- Old west theme
.hack IMOQ- Skeith theme
.hack GU//- Victory must be grasped or I'm Right here. Both come almost immediately into my mind
Persona 3- New town theme that begins in December and January
Persona 4- I'll face myself
 
Pokémon- BW legendary (the one for Victini, Virizion etc)
Monster Hunter- Switches around between Zinogre, Dah'ren/Jhen Mohran Phase 1 and Proof of a Hero.
Pheonix Wright games- Whatever the testimony theme is called from the first game (Allegro version)

These are the games I enjoy the most. Here's just a few more less important games:
Terraria- Boss 2 (oh my god INS DOESN'T PLAY TERRARIA VERY OFTEN ANYMORE???)
Mario-based games- I don't know what it's called, but it's the theme that plays through most of the game (and on 1-1).
Sonic- RUNNIN AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND!!!!!1!!!!11!!!!
Undertale- Ruins theme

Generally it ends up either being my favourite track or one of my favourites, except MH's Proof of a Hero and RUNNIN AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND, which I'm pretty sure isn't from the games. Honestly, I think the only reason Proof of a Hero comes to mind is because it's the main menu theme in MHGen (it's not as special when it's not associated with Dah'ren and Jhen Mohran).
 
The thing is, I listen to other music occasionally whilst playing video games. Just fyi

Star Wars KotOR- The Fixx- One Thing Leads to Another (the whole album)
Civ V- The title theme (I don't know what it's actually called)
Terraria- Boss 1
Drawn to Life- Frostwind
VVVVVV- Safety Dance (if you've played you may understand why)

You might like Springtrap Finale, Now Hiring at Freddy's(If you like happy tunes that turn into nightmares) and Replay Your Nightmare.
