PC Where can I find Terraria's source sprites?

I want to download Terraria's source images for help with NPC spriting, not the code, but just sprites. It's hard to find a recent download of it and is there an easy place to find it?

How come the .png files aren't individually named? It makes it impossible to find individual textures.

Because thats how they are in the games files and itd be a really tedious task. if you want to find an item, search it by its ID

I suspected that might be why they're unorganized, but ID? They're organized by ID? I checked and the wiki indeed does state item ID. Thank you Esreadel. This was a big help.
