Which do you fight more often? Duke Fishron on Empress of Light?

so which do you fight more often?

Duke. I only fight EoL as a summoner, and when I'm a summoner, I also fight duke
do it pre mech and then breeze everything up until endgame

I always fight Empress of Light. Honestly, I forget Duke Fishron exists a good portion of the time.

Empress of Light, because she is my favorite boss.
The fight is more fun, and the drops are better, too.


Soaring Insignia, Starlight, Eventide, Stellar Tune, Empress wings and Terraprisma are all very good gear I like using, and like a lot more than Duke's drops.

i always fight both of these, but I like Empress better since all of her weapons are very good. I do prefer Fishron wings though.

Fishron wings FELL OFF after Soaring Insignia. Insignia + Empress or Betsy Wings is a lot better.

Fair enough, I do use Betsy wings a lot in endgame (the hover is much better than the boosting for me)

I fight empress on every playthrough for the soaring insignia. I can't say the same for duke fishron, I'll usually fight him if I want one of the weapons he drops, or maybe the wings if I'm feeling lazy (since truffle worms are easier to get a lot of than prismatic lacewings, plus duke isn't a nocturnal boss).

As far as pre-moon lord wings go, betsy's wings > empress wings > fishron wings (though usually I won't do OOA tier 3 on most playthroughs). Once ML is down, celestial starboard is the best wings by far (can use any of the fragment ones on classic)

I don't fight either, I usually just do some of the events (martian madness, pumpkin moon, OOA if I'm really up to it, etc) and then do cultist from there.

I only did like, three playthroughs so far (even though I have 350+ hours in Terraria (I just added up all my player's play times and the math ain't mathing even though I also factored in tMod. Did I spend 40 hours in menus???)) and I've fought both of them in all three
