Who is the most hated player in terraria history? Was it a speedrunner? Who was it?

To my knowledge, there hasn't been one.
Is there no speedrunner who was absolutley hated by the community, those exists in most games and terraria has been out for a long time, so i assume its no different.

I wouldn't really say there's been any hated Terraria players. Although HERO's rant when he was given a demo of 1.3 was what I'd say caused the most drama for any event I've seen
EDIT: Also remembered the Duke fishron drama. Never watched the vids on him but they appeared in my reccomended

I saw some reddit post about a terraria speedrunner that was some sort of a manipulator to his friends and community after he got caught cheating. Its been 9 years and most content with him is gone and delted. Just thought it was interesting.

I'm not too sure the Terraria community's the type to hate on one person specifically.

sorry for the offtopic, but i'm seriously curious as to why people hate Sockrteez so much, he doesn't seem that bad imo, sure he's a little over-the-top sometimes but the videos are usually quite short and to-the-point
which is a rarity in the modern day as most videos are either 20+ minutes long and filled with useless blahblahblah and the same sponsorships of Raid Shadow Legends, Keeps, Squarespace, and other whatnot, or sub 15 second long clips to cater to the attention span of the gen alpha kiddies who watch it alongside their skibidi toilets and family-guy-subway-surfers tiktoks and other brainrot

Incredibly easily disproven misinformation and immature handling of being called out on said misinformation.
He’s not a bad person, his youtube channel is a highly unreliable source when talking weapon and gear viability.

Not only just extremely unreliable judgements on viability, he just simply gets a lot of his information wrong, like saying how Sky Fracture pierces, or that Megashark doesn't have access to Uzi's piercing. It's comical that anyone could think his videos provide good information, and yet providing information is the only thing his videos do.
My vote for most hated player would be Sash-EX, a player who exclusively played hardcore and would demean others for not doing the same. He quit the internet some time ago, it seems.

If we count Modded Terraria, I myself is perhaps the most infamous person in Calamity Discord-related communities because of all the Summoner-related arguments I've caused. Just mere days ago I was in a different unrelated Discord server and some guy started harassing me out of nowhere with a bunch of baseless accusations & general berating over my whip arguments in calcord, until he got perma-muted. If that doesn't give an idea of my reputation there then I don't know what will.
I'm going to lock this for now, and discuss with the staff whether this topic is appropriate for this forum.
The potential for calling out members of this forum in this context (even if they aren't particularly active) is enough to avoid talking about it here, in my opinion. Terraria isn't really a very competitive game, and the community is much more likely to celebrate skilled players like Yrimir or Sorbet Cafe than to focus on alleged villains.
If there are certain people on YT/Twitch or whatever who you find are annoying in some way, maybe just don't patronize their channels and give them clicks?
