tModLoader why is tml not booting

so i've just recently bought the game and ive wanted to play terraria with mods since i thought it looked cool when i was 7 watching stampy the cat or something
but everytime i try to boot up tml it wont boot and it'll just be stuck at loading
its not my pc, i can assure you, since my pc can perfectly run terraria fine and runs at 200 fps+
(yes i've tried to redownload both terraria and tml multiple times)
(ive waited over 10+ minutes too)

1. Go to your install directory, right click tModLoader.exe, 'properties', then 'compatibility' 2. then set tick on 'compatibility mode' and select win 8 (or try others) 3. Click 'Apply' then relaunch tModLoader

i cant find compatability in properties, what tab is it?

did you go to your install directory? What operating system are you on? windows or mac or linux?
