Pretty sure this is a bug, but my teleporters aren't working. They are wired perfectly though. Can anyone help?

The behaviour of Switches and Pressure Plates changed in the most recent update. Now you HAVE to connect the wire directly to the Switch, not just be in the general vicinity like before. So if you're using Pressure Plates/Switches, make sure the wire actually connects.

If you're using Levers, that's another matter. There's a bug that makes them not work if the same wire connects to more than one of the Lever's four connection points. A workaround is to make sure the wire only connects to one of the four connection points.

If you still can't get it to work, please post a screenshot with the wiring.
 
A note for people with teleporter issues: for technical reasons, the range over which wires are functional on console is limited. It's not 'infinite' like on PC. So if your teleporters are wired up correctly and non working, then try shorter runs of wire.

There's no prospect of this getting improved sadly, as we're limited by the RAM of the least-capable console. Not sure if this has been mentioned before, I'm fairly new to the non-Nintendo versions.

We're still working on another update for you, will share more details on that once I have it. Reluctant to try and project dates right now, because even with the best will in the world you can end up looking like an idiot and/or a liar. The delay between PlayStation and Xbox was something we absolutely didn't expect last time out.
 
As sad as it is to say, if it is isolated to a single save, that sounds like a corrupt save file perhaps? Do all other saves work fine?

Yes, other files do work, it's just that one particular save doesn't work. I've told them that. But I will contact them when I have a chance too.

Minecraft has this exact same problem. I know it will suck for last gen players, but it's inevitable that the last gen consoles get left behind. It has been this way since the Atari days, and trying to buck the trend to the detriment of current gen players is simply unfair. People buying Terraria on PS4 and X1 expect a game for their system, not a WiiU game with a different controller.

This we all know. But as far as I'm concerned, I'm taking interest in PC addition (Which I already have) And I'm going to switch over my saves to Xbox one. And if Possible, The ONE S! I never started the PC addition because I wanted the 1.3.2 to come out, but now that its out, WISH ME A HAPPY PC ADVENTURE! Curtesy to the Steam summer sale!
 
Sageking10, it's not just you. It's just that 505games can't port for crap, and it HAS been shown in the past. 505games just can't port games. If there were any other porter, i guarantee you 1.3 would have been out at minimum a few months ago, and that's not the only reason. It feels to me like 505 is just doing it for the money. I don't feel like they care. I mean, they included a 1.3 feature in the latest update (Sorting) so why not finish the job? Nah, they're just lazy. And it should NOT have taken 2/1.5 years to just get to 1.2.4.

I'm not sure why the devs don't use multiple codepaths to take advantage of home consoles' obviously plenty RAM. I think the limiter here is PSVITA, they had to invoke extra RAM mode for that version.
 
If they do it for the same reason as 4j, it's because they don't have the man power to handle coding multiple versions simultaneously. So they build the game to run on the worst console supported, then make tweaks for each, screwing over everybody else.

I don't call it laziness. I know they mean well. It doesn't change the fact that every version of the game is another brick dragging the top versions further down.

The only fix is a bigger team. Know how long we wait for updates now? Imagine if they had to optimize every update individually?

Without a (mostly) shared codebase, versions like Vita and Wii U would likely never have seen the light of day. This approach hasn't meant we've had to compromise much up to now. But, as of 1.2.4 being complete, we're at a point where going further on the old gen consoles is very, very difficult. You can expect to hear more on our future plans very soon, but compromising the 'top versions' as you put is not something we will accept.

Aha same here on Xbox one not sure if this is a bug but while playing spilt screen when we exited and saved the world wouldn't save and just stayed on the terraria title and the tutorials that pop up under neith resulting in a restart to the game and losing progress to what we had done also on Xbox one multiplayer when the terra blade and death sickle are suppose to be auto swing it doesn't show this for other players in the game it shows the weapon aiming towards the ground and staying there.(not sure if this is happening to other auto swing weapons will try it later) Will upload pictures of both if necessary. But thanks for the update having a lot of fun

The panic necklace was introduced along with the Crimson update as it is a drop with the crimson hearts. Also this is the case with the fire gauntlet it came out in the 1.2 update but just to ask what is it's abilities is it just added knock back or also melee damage?
pe, I have gotten them before, they are only sold during a certain time.

I'm disappointed that the update only lasted 2 days for me I feel the wait was still not worth it :mad::(;(

My teleporters are only working in one direction. I'm using plates instead of switches or levers (I have tested all 3 & get same result). When I step on the above ground teleporter it takes me nowhere, however, when I step on the underground one (the one it's wired to) it will take me to the above ground teleporter. Why will my teleporters only work in 1 direction?

UPDATE: As I'm testing the wire range I found that my 2 closer placed teleporters are the ones only doing 1 way (I disconnected the connecting wires to each teleporter so only 2 teleporters were connected each time I tested the range for whatever reason my furthest teleporter is doing travel both directions VERY STRANGE! Has there been a change to what the minimum distance must be?

EDIT: I found the solution to my wiring issue. MAKE SURE ALL YOUR WIRES ARE CONNECTING FROM THE TOP & NOT THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE TELEPORTER! I checked my other worlds that have teleporter issues & YEP RUNNING WIRES FROM THE TOP FIXED THE ISSUE IN ALL MY WORLDS! Why this makes a difference with this update I have no clue whatsoever! Hope this helps some of you that are having wiring issues!

Guys I ran all the wire tests you said you had problems with on Xbox 360 and nothing happened, and yes I'm on the latest version, I must be lucky. My wires run A LONG distance of 132 blocks. Still, no problems over here. :/

Well if I'm not mistaken, they are still working on a solution well not a solution, but a release date for the bug fixes of 1.2.4. So it's no guarantee that there will be 1.3 for console. Tho I garuntee the developers are doing everything in their power so patience my friend. Patience.;)
