I play on linux and every single world i have touched is a crimson world. I read the wiki, am i just getting unlucky? I want to play through expert, but corruption has much better loot. Thanks!

You can only pick your world's evil after having reached Hardmode at least once. Until that time, it's random.

I play on switch too and I had the same problem when I first reached hardmode on the switch but I closed the software and shut off the switch and then it worked.

....I think it is because that feature was added in 1.3.2. and the switch version is equal to 1.3.1 (I read the wiki)
