PC World Energy Infuser (An Item to simulate the effects of more players on an Expert World)

A long time ago (Actually just a few months ago), Expert Mode didn't exist and one of the only ways to have a true higher difficulty setting for Terraria was the Dynamic Difficulty Mod which could be said to be like Expert Mode + Nightmare Mode + Inferno Mode (There were 4 difficulty settings and Hard was similar to what Expert Mode is now where normal enemies get doubled hp, attack, defense, and the bosses got x2 stats as well. With the other settings being Hellish and Insane which naturally multiply all enemy stats to even more crazy awesome degrees)

An interesting item that existed in this mod was the difficulty adjuster which simulated more than one player being in the world, which was a very fun item because you could try taking on bosses with stats adjusted for more players. Single Players can challenge themselves by taking on bosses designed for more people, and players doing Multiplayer can make the bosses even harder for more players than they have if they want to. Also for those who are curious about how boss hp scales, it would be easier to see what the boss hp is like with many players without needing to gather 100 friends to play the game together.

How this would work if implemented into Vanilla Terraria Expert Mode is through the form of an item station called the World Energy Infuser, because it is injecting energy to make the world stronger which makes the bosses stronger by extension. After it is crafted, it can be placed like a crafting station and removed with any Pickaxe after being placed if needed. To use it, you would right click on it and you will get a prompt to enter a number between 1 and 255 (Because 255 players is the limit of players that a normal server can support) This number represents the number of players that would be on and it changes every boss in the game to have stats reflecting the number of players entered in on this station. All WEI (World Energy Infusers) in the game world are linked which means entering "5" will change any other WEIs in the world to 5 as well. As an example, 1 player enters 3 in this station. Instead of the Eye of Cthulhu having 3640 hp it would have 6976 hp as if there were 3 players in the world even though there is only 1 player.

The number that can be entered will not be able to go below the minimum number of players. If there are 6 Players in the world, only 6 through 255 can be entered into the WEI. If a player leaves then they can enter 5 through 255 and the WEI will be set down to the new minimum unless the player has changed the default value. If the 6th player rejoins, then the minimum is set back to 6. Naturally if there are 255 players in the world, the WEI won't be able to change the boss conditions at all.

World Energy Infuser
Tooltip:
"Caution! Can make powerful monsters even stronger!"

Obtained from Merchant at 1 gold on Expert Worlds only

If this item is brought to a Normal Mode, using it will have no effect on the bosses.

EDIT: Thanks to @Mebybemn for the suggestion to change WEI to being sold rather than crafted.

Sounds pretty interesting, but I think it should be sold by a npc in expert mode instead of crafted.

That sounds much better than crafting it. I will change the method to getting it to being sold by the Merchant for 1 gold in Expert Worlds only.

No thanks, recipe makes no sense and is a pain, and I overall don't think this needs to be a mechanic.
