Blocks & Decoration Would it be possible for the living loom to be sold by the Dryad NPC?

I was very surprised to learn after browsing the official Terraria wikipedia that the living loom is only legitimately obtainable (i.e. outside world hopping) from living wood trees on some occasions, and isn't guaranteed to spawn. If you are unlucky enough to get one to spawn, there's no other method for obtaining one. As a compromise, I suggest making the living loom (perhaps the two various wands as well) obtainable from the Dryad's stock. I hope this sounds fair! :)

This sounds like a good idea, as living wood is an amazing building material in my opinion, and getting the crafting station guaranteed would be amazing for any builds I'd like to make with living wood. A shame it would be post boss, however, and there's still the problem of the living wood and living leaf wands, though throwing those in the Dryad's shop would be a good idea as well. Plus, it gives people the reason to visit the Dryad a bit more.

the Steampunker sells it if you have a Living Wood Wand in your inventory

Fair enough, didn't know that. Still, having it be sold by the Dryad (pre-hardmode, as well) would, in my eyes at least, make so much more sense. :)

Just to add on to this, the Living Wood Wand and Living Leaf Wand can drop randomly when you shake trees. So all of these items are obtainable in every world.

OK but... RNG and Hardmode? It's just some building blocks and furniture, having the Dryad sell it can't be that bad.

The RNG really isn't as punishing as all that. You get 500 chances to get it per day, if you bother to set up that many trees. You'll have it before too long. I'm not sure what Hardmode has to do with this.

I'm not even against the Dryad selling the items, I was just pointing out that there is already a way to get it.

In reference to Hardmode, the Steampunker will apparently sell the Living Loom (for... whatever reason) if you have the living wood wand in your inventory, which is your only source of the item unless you get semi-lucky in your world's generation, or if you don't mind world/character hopping. Sure, there are Hardmode-exclusive furniture sets, but you can acquire this one pre-Hardmode, but through RNG.

Perhaps a compromise could be that the Dryad (instead of the Steampunker) would only sell the living loom if you have the living wood wand or leaf wand in your inventory.

Shaking hundreds of trees or doing the relog trick sounds fine on singleplayer, but the latter option wouldn't work as well in multiplayer. Having a more reliably accessible way of obtaining these two items would be nice, but not required. :) Again, it's only the loom that's the "issue".

Sure, but in Multiplayer, only one person needs to get the Loom, and then everyone can use it.
