When lying on the bed, supposedly I am allowed to use items (that point in a direction) between 0 degrees and 180 degrees (with directly right being 0 degrees, incremented counter-clockwise)
However it seems like drills (and, solar eruption) are confined to the direction between 90 degrees and -90 degrees (half hemisphere pointing in the direction the character's feet was lying), but the hand is shown to be holding them 0 and 180 degrees
Here is a shot of me using sawtooth shark while lying on a wooden bed.
You can see that the hand indicate that the item is pointing directly up, however the tool is in fact pointing directly (almost) to the right.

Also related, is that sometimes the character will stand up even if the direction is within both constraints (0 to 90, first quadrant)
Both controls are affected.
