Other Xbox Play Anywhere

I was wondering if there is a possibility that Terraria will become xbox play anywhere (XPA) because my friend plays xbox and he wants to play pc with me and mod but he can't afford the game on pc

There's a large version gap between Terraria PC and Terraria Xbox (1). Xbox would need to catch up for crossplay to happen, but their are 2 reasons that this might happen sooner than previously believed:
-For the 1.3/1.3.0.7 update, Xbox recieved a rewrite of the code to match that of pc, making ports much simpler and quicker
-I.4 is the scheduled last update for Terraria, other than bug patches. So when console gets 1.4, pc will also be at 1.4, meaning they are at the same update.
