YveltalGaming's Lore - Ancient History

This is my take on the lore of Terraria!

In the beginning, there was only nothingness. Then, out of that nothingness, the god Redigit emerged. Using his powers, he created the entire world of Terraria. First, he created land, so he could stand. Then, he got thirsty, so he dug out great holes and filled them with water, creating seas. After that, he created air and the sky so that he could breathe. Finally, he created the Underworld, to fuel and heat the world. With that done, he tried one more thing. He put a bit of his own essence into the ground, creating plants. However, the world got overgrown and choked with grass, so he took back most of his essence, and then used fire from the Underworld to raze most plants.

Now, plants still grew and spread, but not as rapidly as before. Then, he took out the soil with a tiny bit of his essence with it. He turned it into animals. Finally, he tried to create more powerful creatures, to govern certain aspects of the world. He tried to create an aspect of flight, but he failed two times and made the aspects of Light and Night, Ra and Cthulhu. He then tried again, and created the aspect of Flight, Soariae. Then, he created the aspect of Might, Burravos, the aspect of Sight, Optieeria, and the aspect of Fright, Reapris. Then, Redigit got really tired, and fell into eternal slumber.

With Redigit in a deep slumber and no one to control them, Ra and Cthulhu, who had always hated one another, initiated a huge battle between them to seize power over the world. There was huge collateral damage. All the other Aspects were killed in the mayhem, and they became the souls of their respective aspect. The land was wracked with fighting, Ra had the upperhand, and Cthulhu was suffering from a mortal wound inflicted by him. However, using his final breath, he banished Ra into the Underworld, coalescing a husk of flesh around him. The only thing remaining of Ra was a soul of Light. When Cthulhu died, his flesh withered the ground around him, creating the Corruption, and his blood flooded the waters, flowing downriver to create the Crimson. Legend has it that a bit of his conscience lingers in the both biomes, trying to complete Cthulhu's goal of taking over the world.
