Game Mechanics Make Mech Bosses Farmable Without Needing Multiple worlds.

Guys, this is my first thread, so please note that.

So, I'll get to the point. Isn't it annoying how mech boss summoners need iron/lead bars? So, I propose a change(one out of 4).
1. Boss summoners could use a hallowed bar or of iron ones.(I mean u could use hallowed instead of iron)
2. Mech Bosses could drop iron/lead bars and souls.
Or, this:3. Hallowed bars could be crafted/" Vile Powdered" into iron. (1 way)
What do you guys think? Any feedback is appreciated.
EDIT: or,
Bosses could drop "Mechanical Thingymabob"s, which could be crafted into another summoner.

3. Way too OP, You could get Hallowed Armor before getting a cobalt pic.
1. I mean you could make the summoned out of either.
2. You'd need multiple worlds!

Whole point of thread is invalid since they ARE farmable without needing multiple worlds. If you ran out of iron and silt/slush in your world, you farmed them TOO much already.

Though it might be wise to add scrap metal that drops from some armored mobs and can be turned into iron bars.
 
I feel like they need to be dialled down in the soul department... Because I'm fine with mining for iron or lead, but soul farming suuuuucks, you have to dig through pearlstone, or ebonstone, or crimstone to get to the enemies
 
Something you'll have to learn is that you cant get everything handed down to you on a silver platter. Neither can you be lazy in a game such as terraria.
If you want to fight the mech bosses than just go and mine some iron.
And what do you even MEAN by "what if iron runs out!" how many times are you pretending on fighting the mech bosses? 100? Even than theres more than enough iron.

What im saying is, this is just an excuse for the lazy and sincerely i dont think this would ever be needed.
 
As there's zero challenge in hunting down some iron, I think allowing hallowed bars in the recipe might be a good idea. There is a lot of iron in the world but if I want to fight a boss, I'd prefer not to shred through and delete chunks of my world when not necessary, plus iron has other uses.

I agree with the spirit of this suggestion. The point isn't about making it "easier", its about making it renewable. For example, let's say (I know, this never actually works out this way in Terraria) that a server with an average of 20 players stays up for about a year. It's going to be rather devoid of resources such as iron. I agree that it should be renewable.
As mentioned there is fishing, so it technically already is. In that regard, changes are unneccessary. But I do like the suggestion of making armored mobs drop scrap metal that can be turned into iron/lead. Either that, or make some mob drop silt/slush that can be extractinated.

So we have to wait for a random spawn before we can summon them? No thanks.

That's Engine's way with Ocram. Frankly, I dislike that idea very very much. Iron/Lead ores are not rare. You can make a ton of stacks from just one world. And bars are renewable via fishing.

No. Then you would get some mech-tier gears without defeating the bosses. And you can literally skip the first three hardmode ores armor sets and go straight to hallowed.

There's nothing wrong with the current recipe, so no support.

I understand what you mean, and at the maech boss point i definetly don't feel like going back to iron mining, I think the hallowed bar idea is great, use the little iron i have, summon a boss and boom! Endless boss summoner subbly, however you should only need one hallowed bar as opposed to three iron.
You are correct that one needs more than one world, there is currently no ingame infinite iron mechanic, including extractinators, as these need slush or silt, wich also is finite.
I would propose a way to endlessly get iron, one idea is an iron bar statue, of course you should only be able to get this when iron is, other than mech bosses, irrelevant.

The reason is basically that people don't want to grab iron. People can skip the iron tier completely and having it require hallowed bars means that you don't have to go underground to grab iron. Before typing this I wanted to support this, but the souls required ALSO require going underground I have realized. Mostly the reason you don't have iron is because you ignore it, and if you want to summon mechs you need souls. Just get iron along the way.
