way to make a Mimic farm?

Id like to try and get the Dart Rifle, but unfortunately they only drop from Mimics, which appear scarely in (atleast) my world, and ive only seen a Hallowed Mimic that... didnt even drop a Daedalus Stormbow (since im a Ranger class, that weapon would be absolutely ESSENTIAL against the Destroyer, which i consider to be the first HM boss to fight for me.). Also, it spawned in the Underworld. Is there any way that i can make a Mimic farm for each biome to farm its contents inside? Thanks, BTW.

An easier way to get the Dart Rifle rather than making an artificial Underground Corruption would be to farm a ton of souls of night and craft those into Keys of Night. Followed by placing down a series of chests in any arena you've made to use for the keys.

Though this will only work if you're on a Corruption World. If you're on a Crimson World where you have artificially added Corruption, it will spawn Crimson Mimics instead.

The same thing can be done for Hallowed Mimics. The Crimson Mimics (If your world is corruption or vice versa) You would have to make an artificial underground area to get them to naturally spawn.

Thank you for being honest.

I'm doing different playthroughs because I can't stand certain things about this game in certain things about this game I like so I'm trying to find a style of playing that suits both and it's not happening. So I decided to look for some items that will help with the durability and longevity of a more realistic playthrough and it requires mimics apparently. So this saves me a lot of trouble and gives me a lot of information on even how the game works. It tells me in the end that all my efforts will be pointless because I will reach a wall where in order to progress I must suspend my realistic playthrough or stay permanently at that point being able to go no further.
