I don't know about you but for me the ability to capture legendary pokemon is dumb.

Are you serious man? What else are you supposed to do with legendary Pokémon? The point of Pokémon is that you're a normal kid , then you get the chance to control gods. That blew my child mind. I doubt they can run with the current Pokémon forever, your definition of useless is twisted.
