People are attracted to free stuff like moths to light.

You mean putting "Requests Open" in the thread's title?

In all honestly, the big cats who are known as the popular artists here, pixel art or digital art or whatever, most likely had "requests" or " doodles " or made free drawings for other big cats here that put them as high up as they are right now.

I won't deny, I'm much more likely to check out an open thread. But it's all about presentation and professionalism, how you show yourself in general.
