It's phenomenal against long segmented enemies and in open spaces, but this is exactly what makes it useless. The only time these two conditions would be met is if you're fighting the Destroyer, assuming you fight it on the surface.

It can actually be very useful in event bosses like Goblin Invasion or Pirate Invasion. Basically, it's just situational, not necessarily useless.

Actually, this is a fair point. However, the challenge then becomes keeping event mobs out in the open, and actually managing to hit them with the arrows.
