how about a material obtained by fishing or doing fish quest called a dowsing rod and you mix it with a water gun? or it could be used like an actual dowsing rod to find/transform into a rod of dousing

nah because it should inflict the chaos state to prevent over use. and im thinking to obtain it, you would have to get a dowsing rod and craft the rod of dousing, which i think should be obtained either by fishing or by doing angler quest.
