Rip Van Winkle resembles an old man who sleeps near a tree. He spawns in the Hallow.
When you approach him, his eyes open briefly and boss music plays briefly, and a status message says "Rip van Winkle has awoken!". But quickly, he goes back to sleep, and a record scratch noise plays and nothing happens. The next status message goes "Wait, nevermind...he didn't awake."
Rip Van Winkle references a fairy tale about a man who slept for 20 years and missed the American Revolution.
Rip Van Winkle cannot be harmed, and stays asleep forever.
