At first there was just space. Then seeds appeared. The seeds were all different and unique. Each created a different world. Some were celestial, others were had no magic at all (cough Earth cough). but there was one seed with the most natural energy. that seed was called "terraria". all the seeds in the cosmos sprouted into a tree and then dirt formed around them then soon water. each seed had a different story but this is terraria's story.
the planet terraria was pure for most of the time but the rain turned one side to mud and Plantera was born. the jungle had many plants and with the power of Plantera the dryads, beings tasked with protecting terraria, were born.terraria also formed a core to protected at extreme measures. terraria was at peace but from the water, where all evil comes from, a terrible being was born. he was known as Cthulhu. Cthulhu wanted to control the universe and on many seeds with the natural powers like terraria another Cthulhu was born. on every planet the outcome was the same, he was trapped.

the dryads sensing an impurity in the world attacked Cthulhu without mercy. many were killed but the most powerful dryad captured him and ripped out his spine, brain, skeleton and eyes. the organs were scattered across the world but effected it harshly. Cthulhu retreated to the moon but the dryad created seals to keep him there, but the act greatly crippled her and weak and unable to fight retreated to the jungle.
the spine landed on a area filled with hatred and the spine released all of Cthulhu's hatred to the world and created the corruption. the spine got corrupted over and turned into a worm who blindly ate the world and bred more worms to destroy it with him but would ultamately bring it down with it. many other worlds suffered the same fate but some were completely corrupted.
the brain fell on the other side and created the crimson from the blood of Cthulhu. the brain controlled the crimson and ever grew to recreate a new body. like the spine it corrupted other worlds and many others got completely controlled. all of them failed to make a new body for Cthulhu but are connected to correct those mistakes. terraria is destined to be the one to recreated Cthulhu's body if it was completely controlled. if.
the eye was the only one to remain free. the other eyes were destroyed but one survived. that one wreaked havoc upon terraria at night fall but retreated at sunrise. the eye bred a army of eyes in a search for his body.
the skeleton was the only one who remained dead. it fell in an area and was buried under sand and dirt.

not all dryads fought Cthulhu. many fled the the under ground and found patches of mutated jungle. they evolved into the truffles but many went extinct. others worshiped him and turned into lihzahrds. they built a temple and a construct in cthulhu's image but they're temple was to heavy that it sank below the surface.
many lihzahrds gave up on Cthulhu and ventured farther down and reached the under world. they created large towers and evolved into demons worshiping the primordial demon lord, the worlds core, and called him the wall of flesh. but the under world was not an ideal place to live and the towers crumbled into ruin. so many demons left for the surface turning into humans.
the humans populated the desert end tried to pitifully copy their past and created pyramids.they worshiped themselves as gods instead of real ones. after centuries of evolution they for got their old technology. their pyramids sank and were forgotten. so they went to the forest and built a city. the city sadly was built on the skeleton of Cthulhu and there by doomed them all

the lihzahrds who still believed in Cthulhu created a lunatic cult recruiting any humanoid beings to bring Cthulhu back. their leader the lunatic cultist went to the city on top of the skeleton and reanimated it. the curse killed all citizens and destroyed the city. the cultists then built a dungeon containing the reanimated skeletons of the citizens and with the skeleton of Cthulhu as a guard. the guard was then called skeletron.
many years later some humans survived and were scattered across the world. they formed an order of a guide to find and inform the prophesied hero on how to save the world and give them all the knowledge they need. as a punishment for leaving all guides were supposed to be sacrificed in order to awaken the core of the world to defeat Cthulhu once and for all. on many a clothier found the dungeon and as punishment, he was possessed by skeletron in order for skeletron to remain animated. a mechanic was also captured and put to work on recreating new body parts for Cthulhu to make him more powerful. but they were not right and were tossed aside before a brain was completed. as punishment for not cooperating, the mechanic was bound in the dungeon to rot away. if only someone could save her.

Cthulhu in great pain needed help. every day and night he would cry for help. then one day the celestials arrived. they taught him about luminite, the most powerful metal in the universe and recreated his body parts enhanced with lunar power. the celestials then used the pillars as a powers source. one day the pillars will fall from the sky and they would guard it with their lives.
one day a hero woke from a nap, terraria chose them to save the world. a guide greeted him and told him what he needed to do. so he set out on a journey of his destiny.
one night they were buying from the merchant. both of them felt and evil presence. by nightfall they heard screams. they ran. from behind the merchants house rose a giant eye. they faught it and ran but it was to fast. they eventually won but that taught them a lesson, they are chosen but not invincible.
rain was a dreary thing. today slime fell instead. terraria's hero thought it was too easy. the slimes were weak. but they soon got smarter. they clumped into a colossal mass of slime and jumped around the slime killed the previous hero and his corpse floated inside the slime. the fight was still easy but the hero learned they were not the first hero and not the last.
the hero was smashing orbs when they received a ball and chain. awe struck by the weapon they started to leave but awakened a terror the worm. the hero not afraid of danger anymore faced the colossal beast Head on. with the chain they bashed the segments of the worm. then after an intense battle they won from then on they were more aware of their environment.
though more aware they were not careful enough. the hero broke a crimson heart and received a spear. then the brain rose to defend it's body. the hero impaled it's many eye's then stabbed the brain finishing it off. they learned to keep their promises and this time they payed attention.
at night the hero found an old man by a dungeon. the man said to leave but the hero wanted to help. the man exploded and his skeleton attacked the hero. the hero easily beat the skeleton every fight is easier but that will soon change.
