The grass burns up, revealing a mysterious creature. The battle against the newly discovered Pokemon has initiated!

I Tackle it, not wanting to risk a super effective blow or STAB killing it.

The Pokemon survives with a sliver of HP left. It decides to use Bite, but somehow misses.

I tell tell cyndaquil to find the pokemon.

I find the pokemon and use ember on it.

I continue walking around.

I toss a pokeball at the Pokemon.

I analyse the Gnawt to know what it looks like.
Upon doing it, I realise I didn't give Snivy a name, despite this feature being cosmetic and probably not in the game. If it is, I name her (him if gender matters in this game) Marie (Louis if gender matters in this game), and name the Gnawt Jaws.

The Pokemon broke free and fled! Pokemon Go logic at its finest.

You notice the Gnawt (now names Jaws) looks like a dark gray rat with two pointy tails. Its ears are shaped kinda like blades, and its teeth are red and pointy. It's also relatively small. Snivy (now named Marie) starts glowing!
