What is the Gemmania Mod?
It is a new mod that has tons of new ways to get gems other than mining underground and new ways to use gems. Some alternate ways include killing Gem Beetles, destroying Gem Bushes, and buying them from the Gem Collector. This is only a mini mod, so it does not have to much in it, but still has much potential. If you are bored of simply mining for gems to get them, you are at the right place! Welcome to the Gemmania Mod!

Gem Beetle
A gem beetle is a new peaceful critter that has an extremely low spawn rate, but drops gems. If the beetle is blue, it drops Sapphires, if it is red, it drops Rubies, etc. Topaz Gem Beetles only spawn in the desert, and diamond Gem Beetles only spawn in the Tundra.
Health- 20
Attack- None
Speed- medium (scorpion)

Gem Bush
A Gem Bush is a green bush with whatever color gems it drops 'berries.' Topaz Gem Bushes only spawn in the desert and appear dead. Diamond Gem Bushes only spawn in the Tundra. Gem Bushes have an extremely low spawn rate. They drop 'Gem Bush' when destroyed, which can be Traded with the Gem Collector for their gem.

Gem Collector
A gem collector is an NPC that requires any type of gem torches in his room to live in your house. He trades you gems for gold coins. The price varies with the rarity of the gem. He looks like a scientist with gray hair and a formal white robe.

Gem Fish
A gem fish is a fish with gem encrusted fins and body. To fish it out of the ocean, you need master bait and a golden fishing rod, and it still has a very low chance of being caught. So good luck catching one. They can be traded with the Gem Collector for their gem.

Gem Crab
A Gem Crab is a new mob that spawns in the ocean and has a very low spawn rate. It looks like a chunk of crystal with black legs and no arms. Its color depends on the gem it drops.
Health- 50
Attack- 20
Defense- 10
Speed- Slow (crab)

Gem Mushroom
A Gem Mushroom is basically a gem bush, except they can only be found in the Underground Mushroom Biome. They look like a chunk of crystal on top a brown stalk. Their color depends on the gem they can be traded to the Gem Collector. The Gem Mushroom has a very low spawn rate.

Thanks! I like mini mods. Easy to code, easy to sprite, doesnt take too much time, but still gives you more objective!

That may not work as you need those items to spawn Fishron, every time you try to catch one it will just spawn Fishron.-_-

No, you need a Truffle Worm to catch Fishron. You can also use any kind of Pole to catch him.

When is the mod coming out? I would like to download it as soon as it comes out (If it has a walkthrough.)
 
Sorry, I just put it out and only have a few sprites. But I will gladly add the download link as soon as it is done!
