When I first saw the team blocks in 1.3.1, I thought they might actually do something (like you could pass through them if you were on the right team). But since they're apparently just decorative it seems... odd. I don't even use team related stuff much, so maybe I'm not qualified to comment, but if the idea is to make a "base" or what have you for each team from the colored blocks, it seems weird that there are no matching walls.
I would suggest making the walls craftable (standed receipe: 1 block=4 walls). And why not make the platforms works the same way? That way the traveling merchant only needs to sell the blocks.
