A better trade off would be no natural health regen, exchanged for reduced mana costs. Dying just because you're using mana too quickly doesn't sound fun at all.

Would you mind explaining your logic here? Why should something that's thrown be melee? Yeah sure. How does this make it more melee. Shadowflame knife feels more like a ranged weapon, so I don't really get your point here. Also the proposed change wouldn't really fix anything.
