As multiple people have mentioned this to me (some outside of TCF) that the tongue should pull players towards the mouth as another form of antikite, I've added that to the main post.
Totally not also bumping the thread now that Red is being more active again, not at all
The only thing that was actually harder about him was the dash attack. The visibility thing just means you no longer have to put torches everywhere in order to see his attacks, and doesn't make him easier. And Sanguine Staff being a guaranteed drop just means you don't you to kill him over and...
An attack should never require a specific option to not get hit by. If you needed Sharp Shadow to dodge Traitor Lord's shockwaves, that would be dumb and just force specific builds.
See above.
Those don't let players see the projectiles, Hunter only works on enemies and Dangersense only works on...
Before 1.4.4 he was pretty unfair and annoying to fight. His dash was extremely hard to dodge, the blood squids were quite tanky for boss minions, and the projectiles were really difficult to see in the darkness of the night. All of this made him hard in a bad way, and it makes perfect sense why...
In Moon Lord's current state, the beam attack is the only attack that completely stops you from running away as fast as possible. You have to stay close otherwise it moves too fast for you to dodge, and it always extends itself to beyond you so you'll pretty much always get hit if you're moving...
Red, I've compiled a list of Moon Lord changes that would greatly improve him. As of right now, he is not a good boss to fight, and he deserves more for a final boss.

Event bosses make sense to be classified as bosses alongside regular bosses, since they have a lot of similarities to regular bosses. They drop relics, trophies, and master mode items, have health bars, and drop way more loot than the difficult, high-hp enemies that would be considered...
I changed the True Eye of Cthulhu spawning changes, so that now I'm suggesting they come out of their sockets in sequence, making their attack patterns offset by a bit. This should be better than having them perfectly synced which removes the need for three separate TEoC's.
Despite having incredible buildup, pretty nice visuals and visual style, and impressive size, the Moon Lord isn't a good boss to actually fight. The ideas and basic structure of the fight aren't bad, so the fight doesn't need to be completely changed, but the attacks need work to make them fair...
Maybe they haven't been changed because they don't need to be changed. They're pretty unique being one of the few lifestealing weapons and the only melee weapon that fires a spread of projectiles.
Vampire Knives are really good despite the nerf, their healing is equal to drinking a Greater Healing Potion every 5 seconds. Desert tiger is decent if you can use firecracker with it, piranha gun is meh unless you use Shroomite stealth with it (the piranhas preserve stealth), and frost hydra is...
What if For the Worthy + The Constant made it way darker (no sunlight would be kinda extreme but if you think that's fine then sure) and should make your hunger way faster needing much more frequent eating.
