Underground Desert doesn't have a background change, it looks correct however. As for worms, not really a way to prevent them from spawning but at least they're despawning for you so not really interrupting the farm it seems.

I agree, without some major rebalancing of combat as a whole you can't really just add nerfs and buffs to melee that will make the majority happy. It's best to just leave something like that for Terraria 2 if they decide to use the same system.
