Eh... for once, something that is not weird considering what people put on pizzas here (US).

We don't put stuff THAT weird on pizza, at least not frequently. Like, you can get mayo on pizza from ANY pizza chain in Japan. Also, corn pizza EVERYWHERE.
On the other hand, they don't have pineapple pizza, so I suppose that makes up for it.

Well, bird nest's stew isn't eaten that often in Japan. It's more of a Chinese cuisine.
Either way, though, that's a delicacy. And delicacies are always weird, like eating fish eggs.
But mayonnaise pizza? That's super common. Imagine if we just had relish mac 'n' cheese once every few days.
